Welcome to BATTALION, the creative outpost of Canadian combat cartoonist and fellow comrade Dan Barnfield. As a former reserve officer in the Royal Canadian Navy, Dan's always had a keen eye for war and adventure stories. BATTALION is his mission to give you fine soldiers a glimpse into the struggles and triumphs of our brothers and sisters on the front lines and the camaraderie and humanity within our ranks.

As the old Regimental Sergeant Major of BATTALION, I am honoured to serve as your guide through these tales of war and adventure. I have spent many years in the military, serving on the front lines and facing the horrors of war. But now, I have found a new mission: to tell the stories of brave soldiers and their battles for freedom and justice.
Through BATTALION, I hope to inspire others never to give up, never to back down, and to always fight for what is right. So if you're ready to join me on this journey, then strap on your boots and grab your rifle. It's time to go to war!
In addition to my role as the mascot of BATTALION, I am an avid collector of military memorabilia and a connoisseur of fine whiskey. When I'm not telling tales of war and adventure, you can usually find me at the all-ranks mess, regaling anyone who will listen with stories of my time in the military.
